I haven't had a chance to try it personally but it might save a lot of work. Here is also a poston checking all the OS and apps on your computer to make sure that nothing will fight with your AutoCAD Installation. I am guessing though that it wont impact you too much. This might slow certain operations down a bit too. Keep in mind then that the memory on the graphics card gets split to share with both monitors. The screen is actually rather small which is great for portability but if you are using it non-stop for AutoCAd you might want to consider an external monitor as well. I personally haven't used this card so I don't know if it supports Hardware Acceleration in AutoCAD which may or may not be a big deal for you. While it is not on the Certified/Recommended list it might still perform fine. The big elephant in the room is the graphics card. The hard drive is SATA but could be even better if you went with a SSD drive even if it was slightly smaller. I found that it is the slower processor so you will have to determine if that is going to be a big factor.ġ6 GB of RAM is a great start. The slower is pretty slow if you are going to push AutoCAD hard with complex models and rendering. Here are the system requirements for AutoCAD 2017.Īs far as the spec on this laptop go, I am not sure which version of the processor they have bundled. Hi see that you are visiting as a new member.
